Jubilee Syringe donates academic materials to schools in Akwa Ibom
In keeping to its promise to support communities in Akwa Ibom State through its corporate social responsibility policy, Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company -JSM, has donated academic materials to several Primary and Secondary schools in the state.
Representing the Managing Director/ Chief Executive of the company, the Group Human Recourses Manager of the company, Mr. Ndiana Isong, said the exercise was in fulfilment of the company’s promise to assist in the development of the state, especially in the area of education.
Mr. Isong who was joined in the exercise by other senior staff of Jubilee Syringe, noted that the company decided to support schools in the state with academic materials to compliment the free and compulsory education policy of the state government under Governor Udom Emmanuel.
He promised that Jubilee Syringe will not relent in meeting the needs of the people of the state, especially those in Awa community, who graciously gave their land to the company to site its investment.
He urged the school heads to ensure that students and pupils get the materials provided by Jubilee Syringe, and advised that the beneficiaries make good use of the academic materials to aid their academic growth. He assured the students that the company was always going to give them preference ahead of others when it comes to employment.
Mr. Isong thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel, for providing good economic policies which according to him, has encouraged investors to bring their investments to the state. He called on the people of the state to reelect governor Emmanuel for a second term come March 9, 2019, to continue in his industrialization drive, where more jobs will be created.
Receiving the staff of Jubilee Syringe, the Principal of Community Secondary Commercial School, Ikot Akpan Ishiet, Awa, Onna Local Government Area, Mr. Akpan Sunday, thanked the management of Jubilee Syringe for keeping to their promise of contributing to the growth of the state, especially in the area of education.
Mr. Sunday called on other companies in the state to emulate the gesture shown by the syringe firm, while assuring the the academic materials will be put to proper use by the students, especially those writing the Senior School Certificate Examination.
On his part, the Vice Chairman of the Memorandum of Understanding – MoU committee between the communities and Jubilee Syringe, Mr. Esua Isemin, said he was delighted to witness the fulfillment of the agreement signed by Jubilee Syringe to support communities in the area. He promised that the communities will keep to their own part of the agreement by ensuring that the company operate peacefully and freely without any harassment or molestation.
Mr. Isemin said by providing academic materials to school students and pupils in the area shows the company believe in the future of the youth of Akwa Ibom State.
He noted that Jubilee Syringe has given employment to several youth in the community and assured that the people are grateful and will reciprocate by being law abiding and protecting the investment.
