SACK OF UDO EKPENYONG EXCITE UKANAFUN PEOPLE
The people of Ukanafun Local Government Area say that are excited that the state Governor has summed up the courage to relief their kinsman Udo Ekpenyong of his appointment as the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
They spoke to THE INK reporter in Ikot Akpa Nkuk earlier today saying Udo Ekpenyong was a bad man and his sack is a good omen and a lesson to those who think that by serving as a commissioner, one has automatically become a mini god.
A party leader said, we are happy Udo Ekpenyong is removed, he was a bad man.
Most of the respondents who spoke to THE INK reporter pleaded not to be named said the deposed commissioner almost constituted himself into a God of some sorts taking decisions politically for the Local Government Area without recourse to stakeholders of the PDP from the Local Government Area.
A former commissioner for Education Mr. Aniekan Akpan described the unceremonious exit of Udo Ekpenyong as shocking but timely.
Aniekan Akpan while exchanging views with newsmen THE INK maintained that Udo Ekpenyong akededike Ukara and hence why he made certain unpardonable mistakes. He added, it serves him right.
Loyalists of Mr. Eno Akpan said Udo Ekpenyong failed to realize that a commissioner is a servant of the people and hence his fall.
Eno Akpan’s loyalists while celebrating the fall of Udo Ekpenyong called on Ukanafun people to pray that a commissioner in the making of Udo Ekpenyong is refused an appointment into the state Exco as the government looks into the Local Government Area for a replacement.
