Akwa United Flies Dana for League Matches
Plans have been concluded to sign off Dana Airlines as the Airline of foremost Nigeria Professional league Club, Akwa United FC.
A release by Mr Mfon Patrick, Media Officer of Aiteo Cup Champions Akwa United confirmed that deal the will be formalised on Friday February 2 in the conference hall of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, the nest of champions.
Though the details of the partnership were not revealed, Mr Patrick quoted Club Chairman Mr Paul Bassey as saying that the deal was a worthwhile venture that “will be beneficial to both parties. In choosing to partner with Akwa United Dana has not only shown respect to an operation base (uyo) that has been very rewarding business wise, but has also identified a club that is most likely to better propagate its services”
The Nigeria Professional Football League leaders, Akwa United Football Club of Uyo, will seek to consolidate their position on top of the log when they file out against FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday.
The Promise Keepers have won four of their opening five matches this season and are top of the log with 12 points.
On their last away trip to Lokoja, Akwa United defeated Niger Tornadoes 1-2 and they will be hoping to repeat the same feat on Matchday 6 when they engage the Anambra Warriors who are placed 12th on the table with 6 points from 5 matches.
