Samuel Uche, head of Methodist Church Nigeria, has disregarded the allegation Busola Dakolo levelled towards Biodun Fatoyinbo, founding father of the Commonwealth of Zion Meeting (COZA).
In June, Busola, superstar photographer and spouse of Timi Dakolo, had alleged that she was raped by way of Fatoyinbo on the age of 16.
Despite the fact that Fatoyinbo denied the allegation, there used to be drive on him to step down. Following protests and social media outcry, the pastor ultimately stepped aside for the problem to be investigated.
In an interview with V.T.N Trade Satisfaction on Silverbird Tv, Uche mentioned the allegation is an try to blackmail and tarnish the preacher’s symbol.
“Some allegations are silly. From my approach of analysing issues, there’s no reality in such strive,” he mentioned.
“You are saying any person raped you and after 16 years, you might be out to record. What’s improper? Perhaps you demanded cash otherwise you sought after some fee and the individual isn’t ready to come up with, and then you definitely selected to blackmail the individual. Why do you punish any person for a sin dedicated 16 years in the past?
“Our lord Jesus Christ says any sinner that believes is forgiven. He referred to as us and he mentioned repent for the dominion of God is handy. How do you cross and tarnish the picture of a person who dedicated one thing some years in the past. Is it related?”
