Fiery lawyer, and Human Rights Activists, Eyibio Okon says, Senator Nelson Effiong, who is representing Eket senatorial district in the Senate, does not have the intellectual capacity to represent Akwa Ibom State.

Eyibio, reacted to widespread condemnation of Nelson Effiong, whom sources said, had donated five bags of rice to his constituents, as his yuletide gift.

The senator, we gathered, has been named “every December senator,” who visits Akwa Ibom every December.

Barrister Eyibio was quoted as saying, “this is not a very good time to complain. First, Nelson Effiong does not have the intellectual capacity to represent AKS or any part of it in an high profile legislative house like the Senate.

I had said earlier that the three of them (senators) in the Senate now are wasting our time in the.

One is fighting for survival, the other is in the habit of relieving tension in the Senate through comedy and this one seem not to be participating in the Senate businesses owing to incomprehension of activities. When to complain is now as we go into the next elections.

Let’s not allow nonentities to represent us again. This complain should have been made when Godswill Akpabio brought him from Aka Road by Obio Imoh, where he used to play draft and gave him the PDP ticket depriving all those who bought the forms and were seriously campaigning for the primaries.

If you were not able to complain then, you cannot do it now. It is even worst in the house of reps but, if we come together and say no, I think those in politics and government will sit up.

Also reacting, scores of constituents have expressed their displeasures on the senator, who they said, has been inactive on the floor of the Senate, with nothing to show in his almost three years at the Senate.

Another source was quoted as saying, since he came to Mkpat Enin in December 2015 and promised to build a hall for us, we haven’t seen him again.
