The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has lampooned some governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP describing them as ‘a gang of criers’ led by the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Ayodele Fayose.

Adams Oshiomhole stated this Saturday, during the solidarity and endorsement rally organized by the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District of Akwa Ibom State at Ikot Ekpene Stadium.

Oshiomhole who spoke through the APC National Vice Chairman, South South, Hillard Ettah noted that the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti State, which witnessed massive and open demonstration of the PDP to use money to buy victory, was a sign post that the APC was a party to beat in Nigeria.

“What happened in the Ekiti election shows what will happen in 2019. Let Udom Emmanuel be prepared to answer our question, where is our money? Udom’s days are numbered. APC will be in that hilltop mansion. Deacon Emmanuel and others will cry again. We will continue to asked them: Udom, Wike, Fayose, where is our money?

“It has become very plain that it is not only Fayose that is crying. Although Fayose is the leader of the gang of criers who want to generate unnecessary pity, he is not the only one crying. Udom Emmanuel is also crying. Wike is also crying. Ben Ayade is crying. They shall cry until APC wins all elections”.

The APC Chairman thanked Akwa Ibom people for their immense contribution to the APC led government and for contributing to the victory recorded during the last Ekiti governorship poll.

“I thank Akwa Ibom State for their contributions to our last national convention. There are many ways of honouring our dear President. We thank the President who had offered himself to salvage Nigeria in 2015 and is still willing to redeem the country from the hands of looters.

“The last week election in Ekiti State is an evidence that we shall defeat the wailers in 2019; it shows that our great party is determined to win. We had an election that was free and fair and APC won and celebrated the victory because Ekiti people are tired of fraudulent government”, he stated.

Saying that PDP needs to die because it stands for impunity, disregard to the rule of law and fraudulent operations, Ashiomhole explained that President Buhari was building a Nigeria of credible, transparent and accountable leadership, adding that the overthrownment of the PDP was necessary because the need for progress in the south south was sacrosanct.

Giving his remarks during the event, President Buhari thanked Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, saying he was grateful for their solidarity, endoresment and support to return in 2019 for a second term.

The President who was represented at the event by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, used the occasion to enumerate his plethora of projects and numerous appointments given to sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State and promised that more of these shall be undertaken in due course.

Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Obong Nsima Ekere who expressed appreciation towards the gesture of Ikot Ekpene people, told them to get prepared to change a deceitful government of the state so that sincere and people oriented democrats can step in to make life meaningful for them.

It could be recalled that Governor Fayose, had 48 hours to the Ekiti state governorship election, openly cried on camera with a hand and neg band, accusing the presidency of sending police and army to assault him. It was also seen that Fayose had after the first episode of crying, dropped the hand band and has since been going about with the neck support.

The event was largely attended by chieftains of the APC in the state including Chief Don Etiebet, Senator John James Udoedehe, APC state executives led by the Chairman, Ini Okopido, and many others.
