HOW SENATOR NWAOBOSHI ALLEGEDLY POCKETED OVER 3 BILLION NAIRA FOR NDDC PLASTIC CHAIRS TO SCHOOLS
The recently distributed plastic chairs and tables to schools in the Niger Delta region, was midwifed by the immediate past acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC), Mrs.Ibim Seminatari.
Highly placed sources, who spoke with our medium said, Seminatari had signed the contract for the distribution of plastic Chairs and tables to schools, and not the current administration of Nsima Ekere in NDDC.
We gathered that, the Senate committee Chairman on NDDC, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, who is representing Delta North in the Senate, allegedly received over N3 billion for the supply, and subletted the contract for the chairs and tables to an unamed company.
He is said to have been afraid to allow his company, Bilderberg Construction Company Limited to handle the supply, due to litigations that had trailed his purchase of Delta Guinea house in Lagos, at a paltry sum.
Nwaoboshi is said to have received the cash over two years ago, but pocketed it and refused to supply the equipments for which monies were signed for.
In a desperate move to save his name, he quickly ran to order the supply immediately, after an anti corruption group based in Delta State, had dragged the commission to court, on her failure to implement the projects in the NDDC budget for which cash were received.
Trail Reporters further gathered that, the distribution which has started at the home state of the MD, Nsima Ekere, will cut across the nine Niger Delta states.
Observers have queried the rationale at which plastic chairs and tables were purchased, against wooden desk that are durable. This plastics won’t last more than a term, a source was quoted as saying.
The head of corporate communication of the commission was not available for comments as at the time of this report.
