Senator Godswill Akpabio to Become Senate President – Joe Igbokwe

A day after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in London, United Kingdom, Godswill Akpabio, the senator representing Akwa Ibom North-West constituency at the National Assembly, has held a meeting with Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Akpabio, the Senate Minority leader and two-time former Governor of Akwa Ibom State on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), met Buhari in London over the weekend, intensifying rumours of his plans to defect to the ruling party.
On Monday, he followed that up with a meeting with Tinubu in Abuja, which the APC has already confirmed held “ahead of his planned defection to the APC”.

According to photo posted by the an APC Chieftain from Lagos, Chief Joe Igbokwe, a possibility of Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio becoming the President of the Nigerian Senate is being propped up, if the text that follows the photos is anything to go by.

Joe Igbokwe posted photos on his Facebook page taken during the meeting and added the following line of text: “Asiwaju BAT Meets Senator Akpabio and Yusuf Alli today in Abuja. The new Senate President loading big time.

Below is his post on Facebook.
