Ukanafun still in the hands of hoodlums * as kidnappers abduct wife of PDP campaign chairman
*Armed robbers shot one, cart away Royal Father’s motorcycle
Mrs. Uyai Uduak Jacobson, the wife to the campaign chairman of the Councillor representing ward nine, Hon. Etangsema Jackson Akpaniwe has been kidnapped. Mrs. Jacobson was abducted at Ikot Ndot Afaha Obo village in Ukanafun Local Government Area on Saturday at about 7pm.
According to a reliable source from the victim’s family who spoke to our reporter said, three boys used one motorcycle and entered the compound and they picked the woman immediately she came out from bath room. It was leant that after she was picked; some of the hoodlums joined them and escaped.
Speaking to newsmen, the councillor representing ward nine in Ukanafun LGA, Hon. Etangsema Jackson Akpaniwe , condemned in totality the ugly incident . He pleaded with the victim’s family to remain calm while the security operatives are carrying out their investigation for the victim’s to be released. Hon. Akpaniwe who is also the Deputy Leader in Ukanafun legislative councillor council, maintained that the hoodlums would be brought to book very soon.
In the related development, Mr. Blessing Isaac Akpan was on Saturday shot at about 5: 00 PM by four unknown gunmen at Ikot Udo Ossiom village in Ukanafun.
A source from the village told newsmen that the four robbers came with one motorcycle and robbed one Mr. Etiowo B. Okpuk’s compound , and carted away one blue DEMARK and one QLINK motorcycle.
A eye witness who is a neighbor to the victim said Mr. Blessing Akpan who was not aware of the incident at the main road came out from their compound and one of the hoodlums who was standing shot one of his hands.
It could be recalled that the village head of Ikot Udo Ossiom , Obong Sunday Etim Okpuk was robbed on 24th , December, 2017. Our source disclosed that robbers came at midnight and carted aware the royal fathers motorcycle.
When our reporter contacted the police public relations officer, DSP Bala Elkana said he was not aware of the incident.
